STRENGTH SCHOOL
What is Strength School?
Strength School is a course designed to teach weightlifting techniques and provide athletes with the knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively perform various lifts. This includes education on weight room etiquette and equipment as well as the biomechanics of weightlifting movements, such as squats, deadlifts, and Olympic lifts to maximize strength and power while minimizing the risk of injury. Additionally, it emphasizes personalized coaching and feedback to ensure that the athletes progress and are confident and comfortable walking into their weight room.
The Commitment
Strength School is a 5-day combination course lasting 75 minutes per day. We utilize seminar but primarily focus on live demonstration. We believe the best way to learn is to have each athlete perform each movement with an expert coach providing real time feedback.
Who Qualifies?
Strength School is primarily designed for two different groups of athletes:
Grades 4-6:
This group will focus on mastering the fundamentals of bodyweight movements, the correct use of smaller equipment (such as dumbbells, medicine balls, and resistance bands), and practicing proper weight room etiquette and safety.
Grades 7-8:
Along with developing movement skills, techniques, and weight room etiquette, this group will be introduced to more advanced barbell techniques to help prepare them for the demands of high school sports.
*We also accept current high school athletes who feel they can benefit from additional technique training.
Location: ALIGNED Coaching & Training, 543 5 Cities Dr, Pismo Beach, CA 93449
